Kirkby Malzeard Corn Mill

Description and History of Site:-
Strange stone building right on the river with little weirs. Slab roof and tiny shingled bell turret on top. Adjacent ex-saw mill much altered. Shield on side: 'AMC 1875'. Rusticated quoins corrugated sheet roof probably lowered. Adjacent 2 very derelict ancient cottages side sliding sashes in mullion-type stone casings (Hatcher 1973). Derelict in 1973, but appears to have been in use as a garage at some time. Now (2017) private housing.
