Market Rasen Railway Station

Description and History of Site:-
Railway station built for the Great Grimsby and Sheffield Railway (subsequently the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway) in 1848.

The station is substantially unaltered apart from the addition of small canopies when the trussed train shed roof which originally spanned the tracks and rested on the top of the wall roof was removed. The booking hall and the men's lavatory are both unaltered. (Adapted from the Listing Entry).
