South Kensington Pedestrian Subway

Description and History of Site:-

Over 400 yards long, jack-arch construction, faced with glazed bricks. 1885 by District Railway from South Kensington Station (qv) to former exhibition site on west side of Exhibition Road. A one penny toll was charged until 1908.
