Description and History of Site:-
The present lighthouse was designed by Thomas Matthews of Trinity House. Constructed in Staffordshire blue brick, trntower is 120ft (36.58m) high, with walls 4ft 10in. (1.47m) thick at the base decreasing to 2ft 9 in. (0.84m) at the top. Not operational since 1985.
