Description and History of Site:-
Brick with stone dressings single storey with pediment. Semi-circular headed showroom window originally the entrance. String at level of springing. On plaque: Gas Works Erected 1832 Enlarged 1864 The gas works building and attached manager's house survived into the late 20th century as they were used as a gas appliance showroom and gas board offices.
