Harlow Hill Water Tower

Description and History of Site:-

Three storey ashlar structure on an octagonal base, surmounted by a metal water tank. Placed at the highest point in Harrogate.
Completed 1902 by Harrogate Corporation Waterworks, engineer Edward Wilson Dixon. This was soon after the Harrogate Corporation bought out the interests and property of the privately-owned Harrogate Waterworks Company (for the sum of £187,000) in 1898.
