Jackass Level also known as Hammonds or Thornhill's Level

Description and History of Site:-

Early hand-cut level in massive sandstone dating from the 1740's. The level is characteristic of early levels being wider at shoulder height than at the base. The level runs south in the direction of Waterhole Vein.
