Scampston Bridge

Description and History of Site:-

Landscaped bridge of three arches with stone ballustrade. Arches have huge rusticated voussoirs alternating with feeble roll mould. Wiers under bridge feeding wide pool of beck, very much in the 18th century landscape tradition.Built c1775, widened in 1933.
