Richmond Old Racecourse Starters Box

Description and History of Site:-

Rather sweet little building of two storeys with a small room on each floor in which there have been fireplaces. Hipped roof. Plaque: Erected AD1814 W S Goodburne Esq Mayor. Has been a bay or bow window for starter on first floor. Ruins of grandstand and a cottage at the gate which is being renovated.

The old grandstand, to which the listing is mainly directed, is a little to the north.
