New Crane Wharf

Description and History of Site:-

A group of riverside warehouses built in 1873. They were rebuilt or repaired after a fire in 1885. The block across the east end of the site, at a right angle to the river, was rebuilt in 1914. The warehouses were converted to flats and business accommodation (shops, a restaurant etc.) in 1989-90.
