Flamborough New Lighthouse

Description and History of Site:-

Lighthouse built 1806 raised 1925. By John Matson of Bridlington for Trinity House. Conical brick tower about 26.5m high.

In 1940 the lighthouse was electrified. It was automated in early 1996, the keepers leaving on 8 May. The lighthouse is now monitored and controlled from Trinity House's Planning Centre in Harwich, Essex
