India Buildings, Church Street, Halifax

Caption :- This monumental group of warehouses named India Buildings was erected in 1861 for Mr. J. Riley. Early occupants included Sutcliffe & Co., woolstaplers, Peter Allet, woolstapler and Bottomley & Co. cigar manufacturers in 1874. The building is presently occupied by Furniture City, a retail furniture warehouse. View along Church Street, October 1976.
