Description and History of Site:-
In 1973 Hatcher noted: Immense iron waterwheel and gearing exposed by demolition of building.
In 2020 section of waterwheel and pentrough still visible from the road. Mill site redeveloped for housing.
According to Hatcher's informants in 1973, "A large water-wheel was situated in a derelict wooden and iron building built onto a smaller stone building" and "... this was the old part of the Clifford Flax Mill, which became the saw mill of the Lane Fox estate."
