Description and History of Site:-
Castleton Rail Under Bridge. Cast iron girder by Head Ashley & Co of the Teesdale Iron Works Stockton on Tees for the original construction of the line in 1865. No longer in use as the track is now (2017) carried by rivetted steel girders.
