Pateley Bridge Brewery

Description and History of Site:-
Currently garage and workshops. Present buildings on congested site on hillside in triangle formed by roads. Higher than river level. Small tower with louvered ventilator on roof. Other buildings surrounding it all have distinctive windows vertical rectangles have had six panes top two openings on pivot. Monolothic lintels with pronounced arch to top of windows. Rusticated stone with slate roofs. Brewhouse has pronounced quoins. Stump of engine chimney. Brewing ceased working c1900. Was another section of the brewery now demolished on the other side of the river. (Hatcher, 1975).
Now (2017) converted to residential use.
