Description and History of Site:-
Large modern refinery type building on York-Scarborough railway line. Opened 1952 by a Wakefield company which had bought several local maltings including those at Nafferton, Driffield and Beverley. Currently (2017) owned and operated by the Dutch Company Boortmalt.
