Description and History of Site:-
Strange mill. Complex in 3 parts. Mill rebuilt c 1884 in 3 parts. Unusual hipped roof. Stone and pantile. 3 gaping doorways one on each floor. Nice weathervane. Rebuilt in 1884, according to the owner in 1973.
Huge exterior iron overshot wheel in situ which ran three pairs of stones. Too late to grind corn since steam milling was well established by then. Ceased working 1939. Used as a farm store in 1973 (Hatcher 1973).
