Description and History of Site:-
One of group of mills at the southern end of Thorgate and on Bridge Gate, used at various times for spinning, weaving and carpet manufacture.
Three storey, mid to late 19th C mill building built for Banner. Restored in the early 1970s. Originally built as a carpet mill, later an animal food factory, subsequently an ice factory; now used workshop and storage.
