Description and History of Site:-
Millstone Hill is a prominent part of Meltham Moor where Millstone Grit is exposed at the surface as small outcrops and bedrock with many tumbler blocks strewn about. The only hard evidence found is one abandoned roughout incorporated into a walkers' shelter near the summit. Diameter c. 1.2m; clear tolling marks visible on the edge on upper face. It is partly hidden now by other blocks of stone on top of it.
