Description and History of Site:-
Redeveloped. The modern buildings on the site are used for a mixture of activities. Marked on the OS map of 1854 as a woollen mill. Taken over by W. Blackburn & Co., worsted spinners, in 1879. By 1893, the spinning side of the business had moved to the nearby Clarence Mill, while Brook Mill was mainly concerned with preparatory activities such as wool-combing.
