Burnside Mill

Description and History of Site:-
Five storey steam mill initially built for silk spinning. Now flats. Built in 1886 alongside Town Beck by one of the sons of William Watson, the manager of Lister's Low Mill. Later incorporated into the Lister Group. Production stopped in 1948 and machinery moved to one of Lister's mills in Barrow-in-Furness.
