Knowle Mills

Description and History of Site:-
Two spinning mills aligned end-to-end, the northern of 1908 and the southern of 1926. To the east of the north mill is an attached north-lights weaving shed. Also to the east former engine house, boiler house and chimney. Built on a previously unoccupied site as a worsted spinning mill in 1906-8 for Richard Edmondson. Both Mills were part of the original design, but the second (southern) mill was not built until 1926. A large proportion of the site is now Keighley Business Centre.
