Description and History of Site:-
Giles & Goodall wrote: "Established in early 19th century as water-powered worsted-spinning mill, but rebuilt as steam-powered mill in 1874-5 and later. Early mill, which survived only in wheelpit area, incorporated into the later mill. Designed by David Whiteoak of Keighley, the 1874-5 mill was of four storeys and attic, thirteen bays long, had timber-floored construction and was powered by an internal end engine house. Later expansion involved the construction of combing shed (1895, by Judson and Moore, Keighley), wool warehouse (1897, again by Judson and Moore) and warehouse and shed (pre-1908). Demolished (except chimney)."
