Waterloo House

Description and History of Site:-
In 1973 Jane Hatcher noted: Moorish warehouse similar to St. Paul's House. Obviously been burned out (in 1977) and very derelict. 'Walter Stead and Co' above central doorway.

Building subsequently renovated and currently (2018) in use as commercial premises. Waterloo House, designed by Edward Birchall, was built in 1868, for Walter Stead, cloth manufacturer.
