Description and History of Site:-
Water-powered, situated on the Wharfe. Low Mill, Addingham, had been planned as a cotton factory, but instead spun worsteds from the time of its opening in 1787. It was only the second factory to do so after Dolphinholme, near Lancaster, which started worsted-spinning in 1784.
