Description and History of Site:-
High Bradley Moor has a number of gritstone outcrops, some of which show tooling marks associated with stone getting. In addition, there is an open adit at SE0090 5020, which probably exploited flaggy sandstones within the Warley Wise Grit beds. There are also shallow delphs from which stone has been removed. No roughouts were seen. Anecdotal evidence suggests roughouts were worked here.
