Description and History of Site:-
Mill built 1861 for spinning cotton (date over main entrance). Large stone chimney remains at western end. In the 1930s it was home to a mail-order business; during the Second World War aircraft parts were manufactured here by Rover. After the war it became a textile factory, eventually closing in November 1999.
In 2005 it was converted to residential accommodation by Novo Homes, with 51 apartments in the mill and 26 new houses within the grounds.
