Piercebridge Pipe Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
Built in 1956 for the Tees Valley and Cleveland Water Board. This unusual bridge is formed from twin pipes to create a self-supporting 64m arch. The pipes were manufactured at the South Durham Steel and Iron Company's Malleable Works at Stockton.
