Redcar Acounstic or Sound Mirror

Description and History of Site:-
Zeppelin Listening Post (Acoustic Mirror). A concrete-walled structure with a central shallow dish 4.6m in diameter. Identical with one at Boulby Cliff. Built about 1917 to anticipate the arrival of German Zeppelins (airships).
