Description and History of Site:-
Ruinous in 1973. Now (2016) a private house. Designed by railway architect George Townsend Andrews, probably opened in the mid 1840's, certainly in use by 1848. Never used much, it was not a commercial success and closed to passenger traffic on June 30th 1905. Susequently used to accommodate the staff responsible for operating the nearby level crossing and signal box.
