Hensall Pumping Station

Description and History of Site:-
Engine houses now demolished, water supply facilities still evident up to 2009, now seems to have been redeveloped to commercial activity. Pontefract waterworks, pumping station. Hard red brick (Hatcher 1974). Contained two 500hp vertical inverted triple expansion engines made by Hathorn Davy of Leeds in 1934 (Graham, 2009)
