Description and History of Site:-
Two buildings: long narrow building with semi-circular openings along front and actual mill more ruinous. Long flue leading up the hill side to a chimney. Also Known as 'How Mill', a mill on the site may have been built 1727. Probably used until around 1820 when it was rebuilt and modernised. The 300m flue and chimney constructed by 1854. Probably went out of use in or around 1893.
Designated as a Scheduled Historic Monument in 1975 and subsequently substantially restored.
