Stamford Bridge Railway Station

Description and History of Site:-
Typical but very plain. Brick. G. T. Andrews. Hipped roof to passenger side and sawn off gable to other. Imposing portico to station houses but station platform entered at side. (Hatcher, 1973). Both the passenger and goods stations are now occupied by the Stamford Bridge Sports Hall Association (2018). Opened by the York & North Midland Railway 4th October 1847. Closed 29th November 1965.
