Eggleston Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
The two span masonry bridge over the Tees at Eggleston is probably the least altered of the early bridges with its carriageway still 3.05m wide. However, with its two arches of 16.46m and 15.85m the style is more in keeping with rebuilding of 1653 than the earlier bridge built about 1450. The original bridge had a chapel at the Yorkshire end
