Description and History of Site:-
The fells here are dotted with small surface outcrops of Millstone Grit many of which have tooling marks or debris suggestive of extensive stone getting activities in the past. Two roughouts lie abandoned on the fell, at the stated NGRs, both early-stage roughouts. Diameters 1.3m and 1.5m; thicknesses 200mm and 220mm.
