Moor House Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
Highest bridge over the Tees on the old track from Alston to Dufton it also gave access to the former lead mines near Appleby Castle Estates shooting lodge at Moor House. A Field Research Station was established here in 1967 and the bridge upgraded to its present form with two 6.5m spans each with four rolled steel beams carrying the timber deck.
