Newlands Works

Caption :- Newland Works commemorative plaque. It reads: "Formerly a wartime shadow factory, David Brown acquired the lease in 1947 for the production of DB implements. The works were later used for the manufacture of engines for David Brown tractors and Aston Martin cars. The Aston Martin DB2/4 was assembled here from 1953 to 1956. This stone marks the site of the engine test bay erected in 1954."
