Moorfield Inn/Brewery or Moorfield Works

Caption :- Moorfield Works, Thomas Street West, Halifax. Part of a mixed development, comprising a house bearing the date 1853 intended for use as an inn, with a brewery behind, and advertised for sale as such in 1855. In 1874 it was occupied for roller cloth manufacture by Thomas Helliwell who carried out various extensions to the premises. Later the building was used by Moorfield Wireworkers, and from the 1950s by B. Rhodes and Son for similar purposes. View along Thomas Street West, January 1995.
