Effingham Works

Description and History of Site:-
James Yates took over the Walkers Rotherham foundry interests in 1823 and became Yates Haywood & Co in 1846. Works with long three-storey facade and impressive central gate tower opened in 1855 and closed in 1970. In multiple occupancy from at least 1994.
