Brodsworth Main Colliery

Description and History of Site:-
Two shafts were sunk between October 1905 and 1907 in a joint venture by the Hickleton Main Colliery Company and the Staveley Coal & Iron Company. Closed in 1990. A 1924 Markham & Co horizontal twin cylinder steam engine was in use.
