Sinnington Grange Mill

Description and History of Site:-
A Bridge-type mill. The tailrace was ran through a vaulted brick channel which survives beneath the existing concreted yard. Interior: at basement level the iron highbreast water-wheel and pit wheel survive. On the first floor are 2 bedstones of the original 4 pairs of stones. A sack hoist operates through the centre of the mill. The upper floors are supported on cast-iron columns with braced capitals. The mill was in operation until 1978. Now operating as a trout farm.
