Woolwich Foot Tunnel

Description and History of Site:-
This 12'8" cast iron tube tunnel is 1655 feet long and was built between 1909 and 1912. The Engineer was Sir Maurice Fitzmaurice. Opened by the LCC. Access is via either spiral stairs or lifts.
