Anchor Brewery

Presumably called Anchor Brewery after the Anchor and date of 1856 carved in the doorway of the shortened building adjacent to the tower part of the brewery. Typical malt-kilns to the north (at SE 39251 67232) also old oast-house overgrown with weeds. Pleasant, brick buildings. At some date the site has been redeveloped for housing.
