Hawes Bridge

Description and History of Site:-
C18. Bridge with single segmental arch of rubble voussoirs with hood- mould. Segmental coping to parapet. Rectangular opening in west abutment which carried pentrough from waterfall upstream of bridge to former corn watermill (NYK00100) approximately 30 metres downstream.
In 1974 Jane Hatcher reported that: Includes culvert for mill leat on west side of bridge
