Description and History of Site:-
Developed by the Blackburn's from 1916. The original hangars were set parallel to the River Humber to facilitate the launching of seaplanes. In the period 1938-9 an extensive range of north-lit sheds were built along with an office block.
Many of the original buildings survive and are still in use.
