Goodmanham Mill

Description and History of Site:-
A watermill is mentioned on this site in 1818 and shown on the first edition OS map of 1851. Interestingly the tower mill is not shown on any OS maps. Possible combined water and windmill. The mill buildings are shown on the 1950 OS map but have now been demolished and the mill house was noted as being a private house in 1991. The leat that fed the watermill can be seen on satellite images and is visible on several aerial photographs.
