Caption :- Ickornshaw Beck river stonary

Remains of a small and crudely-built lime kiln on the south bank of the beck at Ickornshaw, visible from a public footpath on the opposite bank, SD 9616 4304. It has two massive gritstone lintels to the draw arch and a few rough courses of facing stone and a very shallow bowl. This is of a type that pre-dates 1800.
