Guibal fan house, Huntcliff Ironstone Mine

Description and History of Site:-
Huntcliff Ironstone Mine (1872-1906). The fan house is an excellent example of an 1870s concrete built Guibal fan house. This building housed a Guibal fan 30 feet in diameter by 10 feet wide to provide ventilation to the mine. The loading ramp is on the other side of the railway.
