Description and History of Site:-
One of group of mills at the southern end of Thorgate and on Bridge Gate, used at various times for spinning, weaving and carpet manufacture.

Carpet works. Date stone reads built in "1846 J M & Ss". For Joshua Monkhouse and Sons.
